More Mississippi River - Thomson Causeway!

After Grant River we went to another Army Corps campground 71 miles south in Thomson, Illinois called Thomson Causeway, still on the Mississippi River. I was able to see some eagles in flight there, not extremely close but close enough to know they were eagles. We also saw beautiful white egrets and herons. This was a short stay, only two nights. Met some more nice people from Illinois and a couple from Minnesota who sold their house and live on a boat in Florida in the winter and their son's house in Minnesota in the summer. Wow talk about a vagabond life.

Gorgeous sunsets! Fires in Canada enhanced the colors apparently.

Of course, meat had to be involved!

We enjoyed the Mississippi a lot!
