Gallery of our Evolution

It all started in May of 1986 when we started dating and realized we shared a love of camping and the outdoors. We married in 1987 and gave birth to our son in 1989 and first daughter in 1991 which made for a pretty busy life. In June of 1991, we decided to join some family and friends on a tent camping trip. We had two children and our dog, Jessie, at the time and they all did great. That is where the evolution began! In the fall of the same year we found a 1987 Jayco pop-up camper for sale and bought it! In February 1992 we went to the camping show to buy a port-a-potty for the pop-up and saw we could actually afford a trailer! So we bought a 1992, 22 foot 2251 Sunline Trailer and pulled it with our new Ford Aerostar mini-van. As our family grew so did our trailer needs. We traded in our Aerostar for a 1991 Chevy Suburban and with a 4th child on the way we knew a bigger trailer was in the future. In May of 1995 we bought our 29S Fleetwood 30 foot Prowler! We had both of them for over 10 years! In early 2006 we bought our 2004 Ford van and went on a cross country trip pulling the Prowler! After much water damage to the Prowler and between all the activities with our family it sat in our driveway and we sold it in 2008.

After an RV drought, we bought our 2004, 23 Foot 23FBS Flagstaff in 2009 and enjoyed that for several years until we wanted to go bigger and in 2015 bought our 2009, 8296SS Rockwood Signature Ultra lite 29 foot trailer. After realizing it was just us now we decided it was time for a pick-up truck! We bought our first one, a 2016 Ford F-150! With retirement not far away we traded our 2009 Rockwood and bought a 2019, 8335BSS Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 31 foot trailer. We were on the road to retirement for sure. Oh, but we realized our F-150 was perhaps not big enough to tow the Rockwood and traded it in for our 2019 F-350 Diesel pick-up! Ok now we were set. Well, maybe not! Loading and unloading the truck we realized was too much for our aging bodies and there was very little storage space in the Rockwood. Here we go again! We decided to research all the choices out there and decided we wanted a Super C motor home....until we found the Alliance 5th wheels. The rest is history. Ok now on to retirement! Can you see why we call our 5th wheel "Evvie," which is short for Evolution! Stay tuned though, we have been known to change our minds and it's very likely we have a motor home in our future!
