We were back in Vermont for our annual vacation at Camping On The Battenkill July 8-20. This year was quite calmer. If you followed us last year you know that we were inundated with rain in Vermont and were evacuated from Winhall Brook and then were in water at Camping On the Battenkill all while my daughter was getting engaged! They came back this year and we enjoyed it with no flood threats. But our trips never go uneventful.
We enjoyed good food and some scenic bike rides. Also blueberries were on the menu! We were able to pick fresh ones at the campground!
Always a competition who can pick the fastest lol! These two! ❤️
We drove over to Winhall to see the progress of the repairs and upgrades. It’s slowly coming along. We so hope it can open next year. We miss it!
The time ended on a stressful note as Kara had two sick dogs and could not make the drive back to Maryland so she camped out at our house in CT for 5 days nursing them back to health. The next leg of our summer vacation was going to begin quickly as the plan was to switch to the motor home for our Colorado journey. We hoped to drive home from Vermont and then leave that same day Saturday the 20th but with Kara at the house we decided to leave Sunday and catch up with the driving. Stay tuned….for the western motor home adventure!
