2022
With Covid hopefully in the rearview mirror, we purchased our Alliance Paradigm 5th wheel at the end of 2021 and ventured out in April of 2022 to our favorite campground in Vermont-Camping on the Battenkill. We definitely had a learning curve and that trip could have ended quite badly but thankfully our angels were watching over us. We needed to have a mobile tech come out to secure our dangling hydraulic tank and also as we were leaving we did not properly hitch up and the trailer fell onto our truck bed! We re-hitched and had a small amount of damage. Safe to say that did not happen again.

Aside from that near calamity, 2022 brought many adventures.
Camping on the Battenkill-April 22-26
Shake down trip! Our first time ever going out in April. No leaves on the trees yet so it looked like a nuclear bomb hit! It was so quiet though and we enjoyed the Battenkill River.
Alliance Rally-Elkhart, IN - May 22-28
Another first! First time rally experience. We met some great people, cooked for techs, and learned a lot about 5th wheels. Another first, 500 people sang
Happy Birthday to Deb!
On the way home we visited University of Notre Dame near South Bend, IN and saw "touchdown Jesus" and then met up with an old friend of Deb's in PA.
Winhall Brook, VT - June 21-July 5th
Our other favorite, Winhall Brook Army Corps Campground in South Londonderry. We had some visitors on this trip.
Camping on the Battenkill-July 11-23
Back to the Battenkill River this time with leaves on the trees. Family visitors too! Love the visit from a duck family!
Potter's Place, Lebanon, Maine - July 23rd - August 4th
Traveled directly to Maine after Battenkill. Enjoyed a great site on a pond, had a nice visit with old friends and enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the wildlife.
Carlyle, PA - Family Reunion - August 23rd-29th
Caledonia State Park, PA - August 29th - September 5th
Lots of visiting and reminiscing and meeting Tom's cousins at Bongiorno Retreat Center and a stay at a very hilly state park.
Codorus State Park, PA
National Dutch Oven Gathering (DOG) September 5th - September 12th
The National Dutch Oven Gathering or DOG as they call it was at Codorus State Park in Hanover, PA. Lots of good food, competition and fellowship. We didn't win but our dishes were a hit.
Ive's Run Tioga Lake (PA) - September 12th-September 22nd
We love Army Corps Campgrounds (COE'S) and Ives Run in Tioga, PA is one of our favorites. Whenever we plan to go through PA we try to stay there. It's also only 2 hours to where our daughter lives!
Winhall Brook COE - September 29th - October 9th
The Camping season is close to over so one more trip to Winhall was in order. Always love the river and biking the trail. There is something about Vermont!
Country Aire Campground, Shelburne Falls, MA - October 17th -October 24th
The last trip of the 2022 Season. 104 nights total! Shelburne Falls was the area we first started camping in 1991. Sadly the campground, Springbrook, closed. Country Aire is down the road.
